I am still here!!!!

Howdy,
I am still here, but Dad's computer broke down so I haven't been able to post lately.
Today I went to Robert's to help him put the roof on his house. We were having some troubles because it was so windy!!! So Robert made a few calls and a short time later a hand full of guys showed up. It was such a great help. Thank you to those young men!!!!! We got a lot done and had a great time doing it. (or at least I did)
Tonight we are having Joy and Kylie from Texas!!!! I am looking forward to it!!!!!

Here is another one of my projects!!!!!

I already told y'all about having to replace the carPET in my bedroom! But after I got that out, I decided to go ahead repaint my closet also. I don't think it has been repainted since we built the house in '99. (11 years ago) Yeah it was time for a new coat or two!!!! So, I took EVERYTHING out of my closet and put it on and around my bed. Dumb move, now I am sleeping on the living room floor because there is no where to put my stuff until I get done painting. Oh-well, I will just camp out in front of the fire!!!

I have always teased Mom about burning the bread. She seems to do it quite often. Well any-way, I made dinner tonight and I pretty much made charcoal out of the bread!!!! So even though some people think I'm perfect, I make mistakes too!!!!! JK on the perfect!!! 

Some excetment around our place!!!

Critters...
Last night we were sitting around the living room reading the Bible, and Roxie started barking at something on the back porch. So Dad turned the light on and lo and behold there was a opossum. I ran and got the 22 pistol, and Anna got her 'cannon'!! I chased it around the side of the house and it ran up a tree!!!! It took me 6 shots (and I think I hit it all 6 times) but I finally got it.

Later...

This morning I was down at the barn and I heard a shot that was loud and close! Samuel was also down there (at the barn) cutting wood, and he asked ''what that was''. We didn't realize that it was Mom that had shot. She got a coyote, way to go Mom!! Any-way, Samuel and I went out into the pasture to see if it was worth skinning. It wasn't, the whole side of it was ripped open. Samuel dragged it out to a good place to attract other critters, we also put the opossum with it. So wish us good luck on the critter hunting!!!!!! 

Tuesday after camp!!!!!

Hello everyone,
Sorry it took me so long to update after camp, but I have been very sick. I came down with a flu bug Saturday night, I was sick all night, and all day Sunday. I was still feeling very weak yesterday. But today I am doing better. I just took my carpet out of my closet!!!! Roxie has wet in it a couple times, so it was starting to stink, if my room was closed up for a while. So we are replacing the carpet!!!! Wish me good luck!!!! Any-way, camp was great. The basketball game was the ultimate. My team lost though, it was 22 to 14. Ouch!!! Oh-well, it was fun. Well better go. meg

Today I am doing my laundry, cleaning, writing some letters and catching up on my journal.

I made chicken alfredo and bread for lunch. It was so good.

Dad had to drill a hole in his guitar so he could put a pickup in it!!!! It was pretty scary!!!

Last night Dad, Mom, Anna and I went to Denny's for dinner before the sing.

We saw this awsome limo when we stoped to get gas.

Owl project!!!!!

I saw a owl like this on another blog, so I decided to try and make one.

Here it is. I made it out of felt. The picture makes it look different, it is way cuter then the picture.

Friday, sewing day!!!!!!

My project: a pillowcase! So cute!

Here is what to do,using a 1/4 inch seam on everything: Cut main piece of material out at 27'' on fold, then trim width to 21'' wide.

Sew three sides. Both long sides, and one end. Serge.

Next cut the other material for the band, out at 9'',  then trim length to 44''.

Press wrong sides together, sew (still with wrong sides together) to right side of the open end of pillowcase. Serge. Press seam toward pillowcase. 

Top stitch around the top edge of the pillowcase.

You can add something to it if you like.

Here it is done and folded. I made it for traveling.

I can't wait to use it!!!! 

This is what I did to embellish mine, I put a tab of ribbon by the bottom of the case.

Today I cleaned the down stairs of our house, and my bedroom. I also did some laundry and ironed. Oh, and I kept the fire roaring all day!!!!

This is a apron I just made for Katie, and any other kids who might need one while helping Aunt Meggie!! 

These are some slippers that Mom bought for herself but decided she didn't like them. I fell in love with them, so I now have them!!! They are so warm and snugglie.

My Horse!!

This is my little filly. My brother Robert just gave her to me. He didn't have the time to do anything with her, so I am now the proud owner!!! I plan on training her, then selling her, but it could take awhile. I'm no Stacy Westfall after all!!!!



My goats!!!

These little girls are a investment of mine. They (all 4 of them) should be having kids in April!! When the kids become of size I will sell them. Oh, by the way, I need help. One of them is named Oreo, but I still needs names for the rest of them. Please not to strange of names!!!! Leave a comment!! 

Here is a project I have been working on. I have to buy all the decor though, so it is making me a little more aware of prices and things. I still want to do more, but I have to make some money first!!!!

The picture was my early 16th birthday present from Dad. We had to put her down in August, because she developed a thing in her hips. I was very sad. But we had a lot of good memories together. I miss her.   meg
