We used to, that is way back in the dark ages when we had to wash our dishes by hand, have a different dish towel for each day of the week. They had pictures for that day's chores: Washing, ironing, baking, shopping, gardening, etc. I like the idea of using them on the apron.

I am also going to make the tea towels like you were saying. But I have finish the apron first.
